28. July 2023 | Finmatics Updates

Transparenter Workflow, Improved User Experience, Error Messages Mandatory Field, Error Attachement- Email

This week, we have exciting release notes for you: From now on, you can view rejected documents and submit them for review. Tooltips for grayed-out symbols due to missing permissions allow for improved navigation. Additionally, error messages for missing mandatory fields have been optimized, and more precise error messages for invalid email attachments have been provided. We hope these features will provide you with a more pleasant and efficient experience.

Transparent Workflow: Rejected documents remain visible in the workflow

As of now, we are offering our customers the ability to view rejected documents for review. These documents will be displayed in a new tab specifically created for this purpose. Only in the case of double rejection, the document will be removed from the workflow overview.

With this new functionality, the review process for rejected documents is significantly improved, as they remain easily accessible without hindering the workflow.

Your Added Value
  • Transparency: Our customers can view rejected documents, leading to increased transparency and greater satisfaction.

  • Accelerated Review Process: Employees can quickly access rejected documents, speeding up the review process.

  • Ease of Troubleshooting and Corrections: This feature facilitates error resolution and corrections, thereby enhancing the overall workflow efficiency.

Application of the Feature
  • Integration into the Customer Portal: The feature will be integrated into the customer portal to provide easy and secure access to view rejected documents.

  • Administrative Access Setup: A dedicated administrative access will be set up for employees to further analyze and work with the rejected documents.

  • Implementation of Filters and Search Functions: Filters and search functionalities will be implemented to enhance the discoverability of relevant documents. This will make it easier for users to find specific rejected documents based on various criteria.

By applying these measures, our customers will benefit from a seamless and efficient process of accessing and managing rejected documents, ultimately leading to improved workflow and customer satisfaction.

Improved User Experience: Tooltips for Grayed-Out Symbols Due to Missing Permissions

We are offering an enhanced user experience by introducing tooltips for grayed-out symbols caused by insufficient permissions. With this feature, users can quickly identify when certain symbols are inactive or grayed out due to their lack of specific permissions. By hovering the mouse over a grayed-out symbol, an automatic tooltip will appear, providing information about the required permissions to access that particular function.

This improvement aims to make the user interface more intuitive and informative, ensuring users are aware of the actions they can or cannot perform based on their permissions. By offering clear and context-specific guidance, we aim to enhance the overall usability and satisfaction of our platform.

Error Messages for Missing Mandatory Fields During User Creation

When adding or inviting a new user, if essential mandatory fields such as language selection or email address are forgotten, clear error messages will now be displayed. If a user attempts to proceed or save without providing all the required information, a distinct error message will appear. Additionally, we have enhanced the page to automatically scroll to the field where an error message related to a mandatory field is displayed. This makes it even easier and more convenient to identify missing information.

With these improvements, the user creation process becomes more error-resistant, ensuring that all necessary details are filled in correctly, leading to a smoother and more efficient user onboarding experience.

Optimized Error Messages for Email Attachments

We have analyzed the most common cases of faulty email attachments and implemented more specific error messages. As a result, our users will now know exactly what went wrong and won't need to contact support to resolve the issue.
Previously, when invalid email attachments were detected, only generic error messages were sent. However, from now on, you will receive detailed information about the cause, such as invalid file formats or a file with a size of zero.
These improved error messages aim to provide our users with clearer insights into the nature of attachment-related issues, facilitating quicker resolutions and a smoother experience when handling email attachments.
