Optimized visualization and processing of e-invoices in Finmatics

As e-invoices (XML invoices) are becoming increasingly important for many in the accounting industry, we have implemented some improvements in Finmatics to optimize visualization and processing during invoice approval and verification.

Use of XML stylesheets: Some e-invoice formats (e.g. ebutilities) contain information in the XML document about how the invoice is presented. In Finmatics, we now use this stylesheet information in the web and mobile app so that the invoice is displayed exactly as the invoice issuer intended.

Optimized visualization for large data sets: Especially with large data sets, it is important that e-invoices are displayed clearly without losing details. Finmatics has improved the display so that even complex XML invoices are displayed compactly and clearly.

Verification and visualization of e-invoices with the Finmatics mobile app

The Finmatics mobile app offers versatile features such as scanning invoices, e.g. for cash expenses or credit card receipts, as well as use as a mobile invoice archive with full-text search and for approving invoices.

A new addition is the option to check and visualize e-invoices (XML invoices) directly in the app. Have you received an e-invoice by e-mail? Simply share it with the Finmatics mobile app and it will visualize the invoice for further processing, invoice approval and more.

The mobile app is available free of charge for everyone. You can find more information in the support center under the following article: 👉 How do I use the Finmatics mobile app?

These screenshots illustrate step by step how you can easily visualize e-invoices with the help of the Finmatics mobile app:

Improved onboarding in the Finmatics automation center for DATEV: Chart of accounts warning

The Finmatics automation center learns account assignment logic based on historical bookings and adapts specifically to clients and document categories. In order to make optimum use of automation, it is necessary to upload business partner, G/L and subledger accounts during onboarding.

A frequent source of errors up to now was that the standard chart of accounts was not set when the G/L accounts were uploaded. With the new improvement, a warning is now displayed during onboarding if the chart of accounts is missing or incorrect. This prevents errors and makes the set-up process more efficient.

The screenshot shows the new warning in the event of a missing or incorrect chart of accounts during onboarding:
